Medina of Tétouan
UNESCO MEDINA
The Medina of Tétouan is one of the smallest and most complete walled medinas in Morocco, founded in the late 15th century by Andalusian refugees from Granada. Whitewashed houses, wrought-iron windows, seven historic gates, and tightly knit artisan quarters sit inside Almohad-era ramparts — listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1997 for its exceptionally preserved Hispano-Moorish character.
