Oued Laou sits where the Laou river meets the Mediterranean, 45 km south of Tétouan along the scenic Rif coastal road. It is a quiet fishing village that fills up with Moroccan families in summer and stays peaceful the rest of the year. The beach is long and wild, the river valley inland leads to Chefchaouen via a spectacular drive, and a handful of simple seafood restaurants line the seafront.
