Shams Rooftop

Levantine rooftop dining above the Kasbah museum gardens

Chat with us
SHAMS (meaning 'sun' in Arabic) is Marrakech's rooftop restaurant perched atop the Musée MAP (Monde des Arts de la Parure) in the Kasbah district. Set within a lush garden terrace above the museum's exhibition halls, the restaurant serves Levantine and Mediterranean cuisine — hummus, tabbouleh, baba ganoush and more — in a calm, verdant setting with panoramic views of the surrounding medina monuments. Open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday (10:00–17:30), it offers a tranquil escape from the bustle of the souks at a very reasonable price.
