Riad XO, Marrakech

Riad XO in Marrakech occupies a beautifully restored traditional riad at 12 Derb El Baroud in the Medina, five minutes' walk from the Museum of Marrakesh. Its vast, green-planted rooftop terrace is the centrepiece — a shaded, vine-covered space for relaxed meals, sunset drinks, and private candlelight dinners with optional jacuzzi. The kitchen turns out organic, family-style Moroccan cooking: fragrant tagines, colourful salads, pastillas, and briouates prepared with fresh, simply sourced ingredients. Dinner is served without reservation between 19h and 22h, with dishes ranging from 80 to 230 DH.
