Le Foundouk

Le Foundouk is one of Marrakech's most atmospheric medina restaurants, housed in a historic building at 55 Souk Hal Fes that was fully restored in 2000. Open since 2002, it occupies multiple floors around an inner courtyard and rises to a rooftop terrace with sweeping views over the red-city roofscape — named by CNN in 2016 among the world's best sky-high restaurants. The menu balances classic Moroccan tagines and couscous with international dishes, all served in candlelit surroundings of wrought iron, carved wood, and traditional Moroccan furnishings. Located a short walk from the Musée de Marrakech and the Medersa Ben Youssef, Le Foundouk sits deep in the artisan heart of the medina.
