Al-Attarine Madrasa
Marinid masterpiece beside the spice souk
Built 1323–1325 by Marinid sultan Abu Sa'id Uthman II next to the spice and perfume souk that gives it its name, Al-Attarine is celebrated as one of the most refined Marinid madrasas, with intensely sculpted stucco, zellij and carved cedar around a small courtyard.
