Why visit
- Tifoultoute Kasbah, about 8 km west of Ouarzazate, is a hilltop Glaoui stronghold with commanding views over the Ouarzazate River valley and the High Atlas.
- It is linked to Thami El Glaoui, the powerful Pasha of Marrakesh from 1912 to 1956, who used it as one of his regional bases.
- Its mudbrick towers and turrets are a fine example of traditional southern Moroccan kasbah architecture.
