Dakhla Lagoon

Vast flatwater lagoon between desert and Atlantic

Chat with us
The Dakhla Lagoon is a shallow, sheltered stretch of turquoise water enclosed by the long Río de Oro peninsula on Morocco's southern Atlantic coast. Roughly 40 km long, its mirror-flat, waist-deep shallows and near year-round trade winds have made it one of the world's premier flatwater kitesurfing and windsurfing spots, while its mudflats and shorelines host flamingos and thousands of migratory shorebirds.
