El Glissa is the Moroccan restaurant of Le Casablanca Hôtel, at 19 Boulevard Moulay Rachid. Its name means "the little seat", and the room takes its cue from the alcoves of traditional Moroccan homes, with green panelled walls, damask drapes, lanterns and tables laid with gold-rimmed china. The menu follows the classics: a tasting of fine Moroccan salads, briouates with a lightly spiced tomato coulis, traditional and seafood pastilla, harira, sea bass tagine with charmoula, prawns Essaouira style, chicken m'hammar with preserved lemon and olives, beef tanjia and a beef tagine with almonds and Majhoul dates. Desserts lean on orange blossom, amlou and gazelle horns. Dinner is served Monday to Saturday from 19:00. Reserve free through MaJourneys: you pay the restaurant directly on the day, and nothing is charged online.
