Great Mosque of Salé — Rabat

The Great Mosque of Salé is the oldest and most important religious building in the city, founded in 1196 by the Almohad sultan Yacoub al-Mansour — the same ruler who built Hassan Tower across the river. It's the third-largest mosque in Morocco and has been in continuous use for more than eight centuries. Non-Muslims cannot enter, but the ochre-stone exterior, twin minarets, and the small adjacent Medersa Abu al-Hassan make it the natural focal point of the Salé medina.
