Moulay Idriss Zerhoun is a whitewashed hilltown about 28 km from Meknes, built around the tomb of Moulay Idriss I, founder of Morocco's first Islamic dynasty. One of the country's holiest places, it spreads across two hills below the green-tiled mausoleum and is capped by the only cylindrical minaret in Morocco.
