Le Spa de La Mamounia is the wellness floor of La Mamounia, the Marrakech hotel that opened in 1923 beside the Bab Jdid gate and reopened in 2009 after a renovation led by the French designer Jacques Garcia. It runs to 2,500 square metres, with two traditional hammams, a private hammam, ten treatment cabins, a heated indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a gym and a hair and nail salon. The hammam rooms are pale marble and dark mosaic, lit low and kept full of steam.
