Sahbi Sahbi
All-female Moroccan kitchen in Guéliz, designed by Studio KO
Sahbi Sahbi is a modern Moroccan restaurant in the Guéliz district of Marrakech, run entirely by women chefs known as dadas — the female cooks who traditionally pass recipes down through generations. The name means "soulmates" in Moroccan Darija. Designed by Studio KO, the architects behind the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, the room places its open kitchen at the centre so guests can watch tagines, couscous and pastilla being prepared. It was created by Helena Paraboschi and Pierre Pirajean, the team behind Bô-Zin and Grand Café de la Poste.
