Quieter surf-and-yoga village south of Taghazout
Tamraght is a Berber hillside village ~14 km north of Agadir and 3 km south of Taghazout, set 1 km inland of the beach above the Atlantic surf coast. Quieter and cleaner than Taghazout, it has become the region's surf-and-yoga base, with Banana Beach, Devil's Rock and Panoramas all within walking distance.
What to expect
- Two main streets framed by mosques, brightly painted doors, smoothie bars, hammams and a growing speciality-coffee scene. The beach is a 15–20 minute walk down the hill across the coast road.
Best time
- October–March for serious Atlantic swells and cool weather; April–September for warm water, lighter winds and easier conditions for beginners and longboarders.
How to combine
- Tamraght pairs naturally with Taghazout (3 km north), Aourir's Wednesday souk and Paradise Valley (≈ 30 min inland up the P1001).
