How do I reach the park from Agadir?

Drive south on the N1 toward Inezgane, then branch toward Sidi Rbat or the Massa visitor centre — about 60 km / 1 hour from central Agadir to the southern (Oued Massa) entrance.

When is the best time to visit?

March, April and October are the strongest birding months. Early morning and late afternoon are best for both light and bird activity along the estuaries.

Are there marked trails?

Yes — short birding trails at both estuaries. The Oued Massa visitor centre has a map; allow at least a 5 km round-trip walk along the river to reach the coast.

Souss-Massa National Park stretches along ~330 km² of Atlantic coast between the Oued Souss and Oued Massa estuaries, south of Agadir. Established in 1991, it shelters roughly 95% of the world population of the critically endangered northern bald ibis (Geronticus eremita) across colonies between Massa and Tamri.
