Opened in May 2015 in Drarga, 15 minutes north of central Agadir, Crocoparc is the only crocodile zoo in Morocco. The 4-hectare site holds 325 Nile crocodiles, plus sulcata tortoises, green iguanas, anacondas, pythons and marmosets, set in a tropical botanical garden along the Marrakech-Agadir N8.
What to expect
- A two- to three-hour walk through five themed garden zones, with viewing decks over the crocodile lakes and a glass tunnel that runs underneath one of the basins. A zipline crosses parts of the site.
Best time
- Mornings and late afternoons are coolest and least crowded. In winter the crocodiles bask visibly out of the water around 10:00 and 14:00 — the best photo windows.
How to combine
- Easy add-on to a Paradise Valley or Imouzzer day from Agadir — both lie north on the same axis. Or pair with Souk El Had on the way back into town.
