Naama
Mediterranean-Moroccan rooftop restaurant in Bab Doukkala
Naama is a refined Mediterranean-Moroccan restaurant housed in a converted medina riad at 46 Rue Fatima Zahra, in Marrakech's Bab Doukkala neighbourhood. The space unfolds over a majestic dining room with nine-metre ceilings, an inner patio with a cooling pool, and a rooftop terrace with open views of the Koutoubia minaret and the Atlas Mountains.
The kitchen is built around a Josper charcoal grill and a menu that moves between Moroccan tradition and the wider Mediterranean — grilled octopus with harissa, beef tenderloin, sea bream fillet, homemade cavatelli, and a slow-cooked chicken with preserved lemon sit alongside classic tagines. Tafarnout bread is baked on the rooftop and arrives warm at the table.
Naama was brought to life by Italian-Moroccan duo Giovanna and Rossella, blending bejmat tilework and zellij crafted by Marrakshi artisans with bespoke Italian furniture. The bar focuses on creative non-alcoholic botanical cocktails.
