Tangerinn, Tangier

Tangerinn is a small bar at 1 Rue Magellan in Tangier, attached to the Hotel El Muniria where William S. Burroughs wrote Naked Lunch in room 9. Photographs of Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and the rest of the Beat circle hang on the walls, and the crowd mixes expats, young Moroccans and travellers who came for the literary history. It is a late bar rather than an early one, and one of the few in Tangier that keeps going through winter.
