Fairmont La Marina Rabat Sale

Fairmont La Marina Rabat Sale stands where the Bouregreg river meets the Atlantic, built to look like a liner at anchor between Rabat and Sale.

La Marina, Avenue de Fes, Rabat View on map

Fairmont La Marina Rabat Sale sits on the marina at the mouth of the Bouregreg, the river that separates Rabat from its twin city Sale. The building is shaped deliberately like a cruise ship coming to anchor in the estuary, which sounds like a gimmick and is in fact the reason the views work: the Kasbah of the Oudayas is across the water and the ocean opens straight ahead. There are 186 rooms and suites. The ground floor rooms are Moorish in register, with keyhole arches, geometric tilework and lantern light, while the bedrooms upstairs are contemporary and bright. The spa has ten treatment rooms, a traditional hammam, a sauna and a steam room, and there is a rooftop pool and a fitness centre open around the clock. Le Deck is the counter style restaurant, and the rooftop changes character through the day. Book it for the water. The medina and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V are around ten minutes away by car.
