Villa Atlas is one house inside the Domaine des Kasbahs, a gated residential estate on the Bab Atlas road, and it is let whole so the pool, the garden and the terrace are your party's own. Being inside a managed estate rather than standing alone down a track is the practical difference: the approach is made up and lit, and there is a gate between you and the road. There is air conditioning and heating throughout and free WiFi. Parking is private, with a garage and an accessible space, which is worth knowing if anyone in the party has trouble with a long walk from the car. It sleeps up to six, and the minimum stay is short for a villa: it sold at a single night on two of the dates we probed and two nights on a third. Bookings through the site currently take up to four guests.
The Domaine des Kasbahs sits about 10 km east of the medina off the Bab Atlas road, in the newer belt of walled residences built out along that side of the city. It is quiet and orderly, and it is residential rather than commercial: there is nothing to walk to for dinner, though you are on a made road rather than a dirt track. Reckon on about 20 minutes by car to Jemaa el Fna, and plan to have a car or a driver.
