Riad Noir d'Ivoire occupies 31-33 Derb Jdid, in the Bab Doukkala quarter of the medina. The house is arranged around two courtyards, one used in summer and one in winter, and every room and suite is named after an African animal, from the Gazelle room to the Panthère and Guépard suites. The neighbourhood

Derb Jdid runs through Bab Doukkala, a residential part of the north western medina near the gate of the same name. Jemaa el Fna is about 1.1 km away and the Ben Youssef Madrasa about 900 m, both in a straight line, and the souks start a few minutes' walk away. Medina lanes are narrow, so let the riad know your arrival time in advance and arrange the transfer from the airport, which is about 15 minutes by car.
