Zaouia Abbassia is a working residential quarter in the north of the medina, built around the Sidi Bel Abbes shrine and complex. There is very little tourism here, which means quiet nights and local prices, and it also means the souks are fifteen minutes south and Jemaa el Fna about thirty on foot. Bab Doukkala and Bab Taghzout are the nearest gates for taxis, and the riad has parking.
