Hotel Jadali & Spa stands at the corner of Avenue Echouhada and Rue de Paris in Hivernage, the district of hotels and avenues just outside the south western ramparts of the medina. The building rises five storeys and its façade is covered in planting, which makes it easy to pick out on the avenue. The interior designer Imaad Rahmouni created the hotel, and its 52 rooms and suites are modern in style rather than traditional. The pool is on the rooftop, called Alma. Yemaya Spa covers 1,200 m² and pairs a Moroccan hammam with Thai massage and face and body treatments, and there is a fitness room. Omazonia is the restaurant, with a coffee terrace for lighter meals. The Koutoubia Mosque is about 1 km away and Jemaa el Fna about 1.5 km, both within walking distance, and the airport is roughly 10 minutes by car. This is the choice for a modern hotel close to the old city, without the narrow lanes of a medina riad.

The neighbourhood

Hivernage lies between the medina ramparts and the Menara district: wide avenues lined with hotels, restaurants and nightlife venues. It is flat, well lit and easy to get around on foot or by taxi. The Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el Fna are a walk away, the Menara Gardens are a short taxi ride west, and Gueliz, the modern centre, is just to the north.
