Le Petit Beur
MOROCCAN CLASSICS
Le Petit Beur — also known as Dar Tajine — sits on a narrow side street off Avenue Hassan II in central Rabat. It's been run by the same family for more than two decades and has a strong musical side: the owner is a Gnawa musician, and live Gnawa or Andalusi music plays most evenings. Home-style Moroccan cooking — tagines, couscous, brochettes — arrives in heavy terracotta. Small room, candle-lit, cash preferred, no alcohol; book ahead for dinner.
