Opened in October 2017 next to Jardin Majorelle, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent is a 4,000 m² Studio KO building dedicated to the work of Yves Saint Laurent and his bond with Marrakech. Its lace-like terracotta-brick façade evokes the weft and warp of fabric; inside, a permanent gallery rotates pieces from a collection of more than 7,000 garments and 30,000 accessories.

The Paris- and Marrakech-based practice Studio KO, led by Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty. They drew on Saint Laurent's contrast of curved and straight lines and the texture of his fabrics to develop the building's brick lace-pattern façade.
