Le Palazzo
Rooftop and seafood Fish Bar in a 19th-century medina residence
Le Palazzo is a boutique hotel in the Kasbah district of Essaouira's medina, set in a 19th-century patrician residence once known as Palazzo Desdemona in tribute to Orson Welles, who stayed here during the filming of Othello. Its rooftop offers panoramic views over the ocean, the ramparts and the medina rooftops, serving a menu that blends Mediterranean, Asian and Moroccan influences from noon to 10pm. On the ground floor, the Fish Bar showcases fresh fish and seafood from the Essaouira port.
