Why Go
- Elio Beach is the beachfront bar of Sofitel Tamuda Bay Beach & Spa in M'diq, on the Mediterranean coast about 20 minutes north of Tetouan.
- The view runs straight out over Tamuda Bay, the stretch of coast between M'diq and Fnideq often called Morocco's northern riviera, with the Rif Mountains rising behind it.
- Sofitel describes Elio Beach as an arty chic setting by the sea for family and friends, which puts it at the calmer end of the coast compared with the DJ driven venues up at Marina Smir.
- The resort behind it opened in June 2016 and was designed inside and out by GM Architects under Galal Mahmoud, who took Best Luxury Beach Resort in Northern Morocco at the World Luxury Hotel Awards that year.
