- Royal Golf de Fès in Fez is the city's royal course, an 18 hole par 72 laid out inside a large olive grove on Route Imouzzer, a few minutes from the centre.
- It was designed by the American architect Cabell B. Robinson, who has built courses across Morocco, Spain, Portugal and France.
- The course sits at 700 metres above sea level and looks out towards the peaks of the Middle Atlas.
- The ground is hilly and dotted with lakes, which makes it a different proposition from the flat resort courses on the Moroccan coast.
