- Morocco has four major Almohad city walls — Rabat, Marrakech, Fes (partly), and Salé. Rabat's is the most complete. Walking along it threads you past the big monumental gates without the medina crowding, and lets the raw scale of Yacoub al-Mansour's imperial-capital ambition show itself. Most visitors only photograph one gate and move on — the walk is the payoff.
