Atlas Film Studios (Atlas Corporation Studios) is a film studio about 5 km west of Ouarzazate, founded in 1983 by entrepreneur Mohamed Belghmi. Reliable weather and desert-and-mountain scenery that can stand in for many countries helped make it one of the world's largest studios by area. Standing sets from productions such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and Game of Thrones remain in place, and the studio operates guided tours as a popular tourist attraction.
