Matsuri

Matsuri is the steadiest Japanese restaurant in Rabat, on Avenue Al Alaouiyine in the Agdal district. A small sushi and sashimi bar runs along one wall; a handful of teppanyaki tables sit behind it; the rest of the room is conventional tables for ramen, donburi, and izakaya-style small plates. Fish is sourced fresh from Atlantic boats and imports are limited but careful. A full sake and Japanese-whisky list, alcohol served. Consistent, quiet, mid-to-upper prices; good for a break from Moroccan food.
